Baby Walks!

She started taking a few steps 2 weeks ago.. she is now on the move! FINALLY, she is a walker. Although, she didn't walk as quickly as Annabelle.. at least she has her eyes open. (Annabelle walked with her eyes closed for her first walking days) Walking eyes open. sweet.

Julia is ONE!

Julia's birthday was a lot of fun. We had some of our friends and family meet at the beautiful city park for a BBQ and some live music from the local band. We all sang happy birthday to julia before heading to the park. She just looked so cute i could eat her to pieces! It was such a great evening and really made me feel so blessed to have both of our families so close by... and enjoy having so many awesome aunts,uncles and adorable cousins for my girls :)

MISTER SISTER

My sisters and I had a girl day before they both head back to school this fall. I don't think the realize how much I will miss them. (that sappy blog post soon to come) We started off the day with a bike ride on the beautiful Capital Crescent Trail. It's for sure my favorite place to ride. We started off in Bethesda and rode down to Georgetown. Of course we picked like the hottest day of the year to do this but luckily most of the trail is covered. In Georgetown we treated ourselves to yummy frozen yogurt and then headed back home. That night we got all dolled up and went to our favorite NYC restaurant, Serendipity!! :) I absolutely love being down in Georgetown and it was such a blast with my sisters.

The next morning Allison and I went down to Chevy Chase to do some jewelry shopping at Tiffanys :) It was so fun looking at all the stuff we couldn't afford haha then We treated ourselves to jamba juice for breakfast. I'm so lucky to have such cool sisters! Truly fun times. (We missed adrienne hope she is there next time!)

JULIA JUNE Turns 1!

The Pre Party....

Well, these pictures actually have a funny story. I'll try to sum it up quick.. Annabelle was deadly sick Sunday, the morning of Julia's Party. i really had wanted to buy balloons for the party Saturday night but things just got to hectic with Annabelle being sick.

Well, I took Julia to church for the first hour while Brad stayed home with Annabelle, then we planned to do a switch off so Brad could be there for Sunday school to teach. Well, on the way to church I drove by this huge car dealership.. in the corner of my eye I see about 100 balloons in a huge bouquet flying above the dumpster! (attached to a crate near the dumpster) After sacrament meeting I was heading back home, and the thought crossed my mind.. go get those balloons! So, I drove to the back of the dealership..I grabbed as many balloons as would fit in the back of my car. I kept opening the door and filling the car up with these colorful balloons. Julia's face was priceless.. she was laughing and couldn't believe mommy had so many colorful balls in the back seat! :) Well, as soon as i could no longer see Julia I thought we had enough in the car. The whole way home Julia had a blast and when we got home I let her crawl around with the balloons.. she was loving life. I bet the car dealership got a good laugh seeing this crazy mom in her escalade, high heels, trying to untangle and manage this 100 balloon bouquet... then, taking half deflated balloons and stuffing them into her car.. Sunday Fun day.. :)

My Flowers these days...

Walking outside every morning and checking in on my flowers makes me happy.
Looking outside my windows while carrying up baskets of laundry to fold and seeing my beautiful flowers makes me happy
planting new flowers with Annabelle and teaching her about flowers makes me happy
when i see tons of rose buds about to "pop" as Annabelle says..makes us happy
seeing some flowers come back from last year is awesome

My Little Artist

So, Annabelle loves drawing, painting, and works some masterpieces with her side walk chalk. Julia is her little sidekick erasing her pretty pictures, taking the caps off her markers, and crawling all over her sidewalk masterpieces. These two girls crack me up.

I love that Annabelle is so creative! I walked up to my bedroom the other morning and she had very carefully draped tissue paper around each one of my dresser handles. She asked, "Do you like it? I decorated" She is my little artista.. I love it!

My Chore Chica

So, Annabelle gets excited anytime I start to clean. She always wants to sweep or gets happy when I give her a wet rag to clean with me. She is my cleaning buddy around the house. So, I decided to make her a "Chore Jar" She has lots of chore cards and shakes the jar then picks cards out to accomplish. She thinks it's a game and gets really excited about it. The other chart I thought would be fun to give her stars for finishing her things for the day. Simple things like brush teeth, comb hair, show love, ect... Well, it worked for two days then I came down to the kitchen to see the chair pulled up to the fridge. Annabelle had climbed up to her chore chart and crossed off all the chores for the the entire week. HAHAHA (NOW THAT'S ONE WAY)

My sweet Julia is exactly that.. SO SWEET. Yes we still call her Baby June, Junie, and Baby Julia. She is seriously such a sweet little girl. Junie in a nutshell...

*smiles all the time.. and has the cutest little smile while she squints her eyes shut!

*Crawled one month later than Annabelle but is now on the MOVE! (both of my girls crawled during March Madness :)

*She can eat her sister under the table! she loves drinking out of a sippy cup all by herself.

*She waves hi and bye bye.. :)

*She grunts and does a little scrunched pig face.. it so "her face"

*she chases Annabelle all over the house.. when she catches up to her she will give her open mouth kisses!

*she always snuggles into my chest and is such a snuggle bug (so unlike annabelle)

*she goes upstairs now and cruises and pulls herself up on anything and everything she can find.. like I said she is on the MOVE!
