Baby Annabelle was two weeks old when we went with Brad's family to Mt. Vernon. Brad just finished reading this book on George Washington, "His Majesty" he really enjoyed it, so for anyone looking to learn a little more about Washington...it's a great read. Mt. Vernon was awesome! The views are spectacular and the new underground museum is very well done. Annabelle slept through most of the day in her little kangaroo pouch :) She was bright eyed alert in the museum.... soaking up her history field trip :) I was a little nervous taking her out ALL day, but she did great!! Afterwards we all went to the cheesecake factory with the Fishers. What a fun day and so nice to get out of the house for a little break :)
A summer is not complete without our annual trip or trips :) to Deep Creek lake!!! Annabelle had her first camping trip and did great. As always we had quite the adventure at the annual Garrett County Fair. These people know how to do a fair right... it doesn't get much more country than this... Gotta love the fair funnel cakes and watching the country boys racing their trucks through the mud.
