March Madness!!!!

I have not posted in FOREVER. I have been very busy do to some "march madness" I spent the first half of the month at the Parson's babysitting gig. My lovely sister Allison came home from her mission!!!! I hosted a Relief Society Dinner at my house and decorated 2 out of the 5 tables...(pink and black of course!!!) I bought Annabelle her new Highchair (which she LOVES and has fun just sitting in it for a long time!!!) I've started to prepare for my garden. If anyone has any tips on what grows really well, let me know :) Any other free time I have had is feeling out my brackets, and watching the games...

I had hoped for some warmer weather for march... I'm happy Annabelle is finally sleeping in her crib, growing hair, and is crawling... (FORWARD) :) Annabelle also had her first date this month!!! Her first daddy daughter date..... her and Brad went to Chipotle to share a burrito. Brad even got a little side order of carnitas for Annabelle :) Annabelle loves burritos and WE LOVE HER!!!

Say hello to my pictures from "march madness"

Service With a Smile

This past Saturday Annabelle went on her first service project! Brad was asked to help at the chapel and unload two truck loads of food from the bishops storehouse. In order to give the sister missionaries a ride, Annabelle and I decided to tag along!!! It's always such a treat being around sister missionaries:) It just brings me right back to my mission and so many fun memories.....it's just so fun talking with them!!!

Well, it was amazing how much food there was and how many orders needed to be filled!!! The stake President said there were 20% more orders then usual due to the bad economy...sad :( It was great to see the variety of food items people were able to receive. I was surprised at all the fresh produce too! Brad was the produce dude :) They had a scale there and were weighing bananas, limes, oranges you name it! Some orders and 10 gallons of milk... kinda crazy. I walked around and dropped in meat patties to all 60 orders...then while Annabelle was asleep, I performed probably the most important role of the day..... counting and passing out the toliet paper rolls. :) I just have to say I know it wasn't a HUGE act of service we did, but I LOVE SERVICE!!!! It's awesome to forget about yourself and just help others... nothing quite like it :) So, any of ya feelin down or overwhelmed??? GO OUT AND SERVE!!!!!!

Annabelle just couldntkeep her hands off that milk!!! :)

Annabelle's 6 Month Photos....

SIX MONTHS.... SIX THINGS I CAN DO NOW!!!!

1. I have my two bottom teeth now!

2. I sit on the kid high chairs when mommy and daddy go out to eat. I even ride in the shopping carts when we run errands.

3. I eat baby food now. I love squash and Sweet Potatoes the best!!! I have graduated to eating what mom and dad eat.... as long as its in small pieces.

4. I can say "Da Da", "Ma Ma" and "Ba Ba" .... but mostly "Da Da Da" which brad absolutely LOVES of course!!!!

5. I can get up on all fours and rock back and forth. I can't crawl frontwards yet, but I can push myself backwards. I usually get up on all fours have no clue what to do next... and squeel at a very high pitch :)

6. I'm no longer "mr. clean" baldy baby. I have begun to sprout some peach fuzz. aka HAIR!!!!

Good Reads... We All Needs

Here is the book I just finished reading. I loved it, and it really made me change my perspective on being a homemaker and mother. It has truly inspired me to be a better more efficient house manager and mother. I now have chore charts, daily schedules and to do list. This book has so many great tips and ideas on how to organize your home aka your LIFE. I highly recommend to any stay at home mom!!!!

Here is the book I am currently reading..... LOVE HER!!! Read and listened to so many of her books/talks on my mission. She has such a grasp of what it means to be a woman in these Latter Days. I love her perspective on our divine potential. She's just so awesome. I also recommend "The Lord Wants a Powerful People" Its a talk on tape I have of hers. I have just felt somewhat overwhelmed lately...... these two books have given me such a spiritual boost!!! I feel happier about my role as a mother (stay at home mom) and a daughter of God in these last days. Please go out and get these books!!! They are wonderful :)

And of course the book that Annabelle and I love to read.... :) This lady has many good books!!!

Please let me know of any good books you have read or are reading to help pump you up :)

Baby Tutu wanna dudu?!?!

So, I made Annabelle her first tutu!!! It was a lot of fun and very easy :) The pics I have are not the best but you get the idea.... for all of you Mommys out there here is the sight you can
check out to learn how to make them!!! http://www.make-your-own-baby-stuff.com/baby-tutus.html%20 I used two different colors of tulle to make it look more fun.... red tulle and a goldish red shimmer tulle. They can be embellished with little flowers, ribbon, and glitter. They make for one cute church outfit :) Here is Annabelle modeling her tutu for brad's family xmas party and some pics at church from my camera phone :)
